Boa Hancock, also commonly referred to as the Pirate Empress or the "Snake Princess" of Amazon Lily, is a major character in the One Piece franchise. She rules over the Kuja tribe with her two younger sisters, Boa Sandersonia and Boa Marigold, and is the captain of the Kuja Pirates. She is indisputably considered by many to be the most beautiful woman in the world. She is introduced in the series as a member of the Seven Warlords of the Sea before her dismissal.

Initially debuted as the main antagonist of the Amazon Lily Arc, she gradually fell in love with the series' main protagonist, Monkey D. Luffy for his kindness and courage. She eventually pledged both her love and loyalty to him, after she understood the story behind how he punched a Celestial Dragon and heard his declaration that he only despises the World Nobles, and not her who had to suffer through their egregious actions, leading to her becoming one of his most stalwart allies and closest friends. She was first mentioned by the Risky Brothers at the end of the Thriller Bark Arc when comparing her legendary beauty to the beauty of mermaids.

Following her disqualification from the abolishment of the Seven Warlords due to the sins of Crocodile and Donquixote Doflamingo, Hancock was once again deemed as a criminal, fugitive and threat to the World Government as well not only had her bounty reinstated, but increased it tremendously too. She has a bounty of 1,659,000,000 berries, having been raised from 80,000,000 berries. This makes her one of the most wanted and dangerous female pirates (besides Big Mom and Nico Robin), as well having the 15th highest overall known bounty of any pirate and having the second highest bounty of female pirates (after Big Mom).

She is voiced by Kotono Mitsuishi in the Japanese version of the anime, and by Lydia Mackay in the English version of the anime.
